Passed High School & Intermediate in 1st Division. Graduated in Science with distinction, from the University of Allahabad in 1970 securing 6th position in order of merit. After taking a law degree, joined the bar in 1973.
Represented the Sate of UP in Table Tennis, and was captain, champion and colour holder of the University of Allahabad in Table Tennis and Squash.
Served as Additional Advocate General for the State of UP from Mar 26, 1997 to Feb 04, 1999 and was appointed a permanent judge of the Allahabad High Court on Feb 05, 1999.
Written two books entitled 'Cyberlaws' (Published by Universal Law Publishers Co Pvt Ltd. C-FF 1A, Dilkush Industrial Estate, GT Karnal Road Delhi) & 'A Lawyer's World and Childhood dreams' {published by Law Publishers (India) Pvt Ltd Allahabad}.

Has established a charitable trust named 'Krishna Virendra trust' (http://www.krishnavirendra.org/welcome.htm) in memory of his mother. The trust offers scholarships to meritorious students and promotes sports activities.
Transferred to High Court of Chhatisgarh and took oath as Chief Justice of High Court of Chhatisgarh on Oct 22, 2012.
