Graduated in Arts in the year 1966 from Allahabad University and passed LL.B. in the year 1968 from Allahabad University.

Served as Joint Director (Training) of Institute of Judicial Training & Research at Lucknow from Dec.'1995 to Jul.'1997.

Appointed in P.C.S.(J) in the year 1970 and promoted in Higher Judicial Service in the year 1982. Promoted in the year 1997 as District & Sessions Judge. Posted at Allahabad High Court as Registrar General from Oct.'2002 to Dec.'2004.

Elevated as Additional Judge on 03/12/2004; took oath as permanent Judge on 27/02/2006.
