Applications are invited for 02 posts of Urdu Translator (for translating the documents from Urdu to English) on the Establishment of High Court, Allahabad, in the pay scale of PB 2 Rs. 9300 – 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200 plus usual allowances.

RESERVATION:
In view of judgment dated 09.07.2010 of this Hon'ble Court passed in Civil Misc. Writ Petition No.51617 of 2009-Heera Lal Vs. State of U.P. and others (connected with Civil Misc. Writ Petition No.31716 of 2004-Satya Brat Nath Vs. State of U.P. and others) the rule of reservation under the U.P. Act No.4 of 1994 as applicable to aided educational institutions cannot be pressed into service where the number of posts in the cadre is less than five, therefore, reservation on 02 newly created posts of Urdu Translator will not be applicable .
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Bachelor degree with Arabic Literature, Persian Literature or Urdu Literature as one of the subjects from any University in India established by law or any other qualification equivalent thereto recognized by the State Government but in those cases Urdu literature, Persian literature or Arabic literature shall not be required where the candidate has passed Adib-E-Kamil Examination from Jamia Urdu, Aligarh.
(ii) Computer knowledge, i.e., Data Entry, Word Processing and Computer Operation.
(iii) Preference shall be given to a candidate who possesses English as a subject at Graduate level.
AGE:
A candidate for direct recruitment of Urdu Translator must have attained the minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of more than 35 years on the 1st day of July of the year in which advertisement is published, i.e. 01.07.2010.
The maximum age limit shall, in the case of candidate of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Dependents of Freedom Fighters and Backward classes, be greater by five years.
The relaxation of 3 years for Ex-Servicemen in addition to the extent of their entire period of Military Services.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: Hon'ble Selection Committee will consider the criteria and norms for the selection.
FEES: Rs. 400/- for General Category & O.B.C. and Rs. 200/- for S.C./ S.T. candidates.

Application on plain and thick foolscap paper duly typed in format given below alongwith attested copy of High School Certificate in support of age and other Certificates and Testimonials in respect of Educational Qualification, Computer Knowledge alongwith a self addressed envelope bearing postage stamps worth Rs. 22/- and Examination Fees in the shape of Bank Draft/Banker’s Cheque issued by Nationalized Bank payable in favour of “Registrar General, High Court, Allahabad”, should be sent to The Registrar General, High Court, Allahabad by Speed Post or Registered post with A.D. Only.

NOTE:
Candidates should affix a latest coloured photograph in passport size with signature thereon duly attested by some Gazetted Officer at the place provided in the application form.
Candidates employed in Government Department/ Undertaking should send their applications form through proper channel.
The envelope containing application should be marked “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF URDU TRANSLATOR”.
Only one envelope shall contain only one application form. An envelope containing more than one application form, shall stand rejected.
Application will be rejected if photo is not pasted or Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque is not attached or if attested copy of certificates are not attached with it, or if it is not signed by the applicant or if it is not sent through proper channel in case applicant is employed.
Applications received after last date will not be entertained and the Court will not be responsible for any postal delay. The applications, which are not completed in every respect, will be rejected out-right.
Information regarding candidates found eligible for the test shall be made available on the website of the Allahabad High Court at “www.allahabadhighcourt.in”.
