Born on 08 February 1966 in district Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. His father Mr. Justice Khem Karan also served as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.
Obtained his B.A. degree in 1984 and LL.B. degree in 1987 from Lucknow University. He joined the Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service as Munsif (Civil Judge, Junior Division) on 15 October 1990. He was promoted to Civil Judge (Senior Division) on 11 October 2000.
Entered the Higher Judicial Service (HJS) under Rule 22(1) of the U.P.HJS Rules, 1975, on 07 September 2010. During his long judicial career, he has served in various capacities including Presiding Officer, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Barabanki. He has also served on deputation as Officer on Special Duty (Judicial) at the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, Lucknow. He held office of District & Sessions Judge in Amroha, Aligarh and Prayagraj before his elevation to High Court, Allahabad.
Elevated as Judge of High Court, Allahabad on September 27, 2025.
